The two-prong side sits on the outer (cheek) side of the tooth and the single prong on the inner side, matching the alignment of the roots for a secure hold. This is the offside pattern; three-prong forceps work as a pair, each covering one upper arcade and the diagonally opposite lower arcade.

Available in 13", 16", 19" and 21" lengths. The prongs are seated firmly on the crown with the two-prong jaw to the cheek side, and the tooth is loosened with slow, low-amplitude oscillation, increasing movement only as it loosens. Avoid twisting, which can fracture the crown. A molar fulcrum can assist the final lift.

Ideal For

Equine veterinarians and equine dental technicians

Oral extraction of premolars and molars

Completing a matched pair of three-prong extractors

Specifications

Specification

Details

Brand

Dr. Tail

SKU

EQI4-13, EQI4-16, EQI4-19, EQI4-21

Type

Three prong molar extraction forceps, offside

Jaw Configuration

Two prongs on one jaw, one on the other

Lengths

13", 16", 19" or 21" (select above)

Material

Stainless steel

Care

Clean thoroughly after each use and dry completely.
