Product Details

A double-ended diagnostic instrument for small animal dentistry, pairing a graduated periodontal probe with a #23 shepherd’s hook explorer. It’s an essential tool for oral exams and periodontal charting in dogs and cats.

Graduated probe end

A fine, blunt-tipped probe with black-banded Williams markings (1-2-3-5-7-8-9-10 mm). It measures gingival sulcus and periodontal pocket depth, helps assess attachment loss, and locates subgingival calculus while being gentle on the gingiva.

Explorer #23 (shepherd’s hook) end

A sharp, finely tapered hook for tactile detection of tooth resorption (especially in cats), caries, pulp exposure, enamel defects and calculus left behind after scaling.
